Team of players aged over 75 finish runners up in regional championshiptorrevieja tennis veterans

The Torrevieja Tennis Club veterans team for players aged 75 and over were proclaimed runners up in the Valencian Community Tennis Federation (VTCV) Championship on November 28th. They lost the final against Valencia Tennis Club by a narrow margin of two sets to one after an evenly matched and competitive game, which was played in Torrevieja.

The team players are Tomas Bascuñana, Francisco Artigas, Manuel Villanueva and Humberto Zuleta.

In other tennis news, Torrevieja Tennis Club’s Alevin children’s team (ages 11-13) has once again reached the final of the provincial VTCV championship, after beating CAM Villenense by 5 sets to love. In the final they will play C.A. Montemar, the current national champions in this age category, at the Torrevieja Tennis Club this weekend.

The team has won the title for the last two years. This year’s finalists are Vicent Mico, Luca van Geel, Christian Hernandez, Linus Lovenhaft, Olivier Sterniczuk, Marta Vinader, Laura Mulero, Paula Pintor and Sofía Krinitsina.
