93-year-old lost control, mounted the pavement and hit a house in Torreviejaparking crash torrevieja

An elderly British lady aged 93 had an accident when she was trying to park her car on Calle Vicente Blasco Ibáñez in Torrevieja on Monday. It happened at about 11am when she bumped into two vehicles that were either side of the space she wanted to park in.

Witnesses said the woman, after repeatedly hitting the two cars, lost control of her own and spun it around several times, taking with it several bollards then mounting the pavement and crashing into the doorway of a house. Fortunately no one was hurt.

Local Police officers came and calmed the woman down as she was “very upset” but did not require medical assistance. Police sources said all her papers and driving licence were in order. The municipal tow truck removed her car from the pavement.
