The activities to mark Women's Day continue in Rojales this Sunday, including the municipality's annual walk for women's rights through the town, which always attracts hundreds of people, and a new exhibition at the Sala Mengolero in the Rodeo caves.
The exhibition, “Memorobilia Dona Alacant Art”, a project by Paco Esteve and Inés Villepararisis, includes works of art by more than 40 women and this is the first time the collection has been shown to the public.
"It is art by women, normalising and incorporating the female gender in art and culture," said Councillor Inmaculada Chazarra.
The busiest event is the week is the walk which this year, as well as showing suppor for equality, will be raising money for children's cancer charity ASPANION. Like every year, participants will follow a route on foot through the town centre and its surroundings, ending at the Malecón del Soto with various activities.
The walk starts at the Malecón del Soto at 10.30am and registration costs a €3 donation and opens at 9am.
Look out for Costa Daily next week when we bring you details of the Música Sin Fronteras season of jazz concerts in Rojales which starts on March 16th.
