The Local Police Union (SIPOL) has claimed in a statement about the “discrimination, persecution and punishment” meted out by the Councillor for Security in Pilar de la Horadada, José Tomás Saura against officers of the Local Police, “including the Chief of the Force”.

The union assured the councillor “insulted and persecuted” the Chief of Police “until he had to take medical leave for stress, and while he was off a relative of the councillor was brought in to cover his job”.

They note that they have given all the details to their legal advisors “in case they constitute an offence so that the appropriate legal action can be taken, if required”.
