Irish music, cooking and scooter competitions and much more at the CDM Orihuela Costa
On Saturday, March 17th the Orihuela Costa Municipal Sports Centre (CDM) is celebrating St Patrick's Day, Ireland's national holiday, because there are so many people from this country in the area.
There will be free beer for all members and the activities include a cake making competition, for which participants have to bring the cake they have made to the manager of the CDM by 10am. the jury will reveal their decision at 1pm and prizes will be awarded to the winners..
There will also be a padel tournament and a fun day for the students of the swimming schools with games and other activities.
The day will have entertainment including bouncy castles for children, exhibitions of the fitness craze XTromba, open air spinning classes, a show by the junior dance students, Irish music and many surprises more.
There will also be a paella cooking competition for which the centre will provide the basic ingredients.
There will also be a scooter competition on the skateboarding ramps which is open to amateurs and professionals and will have prizes for the participants and winners. Registration is completely free.
Those who want to can contribute to the campaign to collect food for the needy by the charity Cáritas Orihuela Costa. Non perishable foods , hygiene products, toys or cash are all acceptable donations.
