New country walking route to be inaugurated on Sundaycaldera gigante walk

Algorfa, Almoradí, Rojales and Benejúzar are all along the new walking route called The Giant's Hip, which was designed by the students of an employment workshop organised by CONVEGA, an organisation which promotes the economy of the Vega Baja.

The inauguration is on Sunday, January 17th with a guided tour along the 17 kilometre route, which will take from 9am-2pm, leaving from the urbanisation Montemar in Algorfa where the participants will find themselves in a pine wood full of Mediterranean plant life.

The hikers will be able to enjoy the beauty of the Hoyo Serrano, the groves of the River Segura and nearby farms, La Pilarica in Benejúzar and the Cabezo Redondo. The route has been classified with a difficulty level of 2 out of 5 for the distance and 3 for the physical effort required, according to the MIDE Excursion Information Method.

To take part you only have to register on the website www.convega.com or telephone 965 307 072.
