The Guardia Civil have arrested three Spanish men aged 25, 28 and 34 in Formentera del Segura and Benijófar, for violent robberies of homes in the Vega Baja.
There was a violent robbery at a home in Ciudad Quesada on September 19 during which the attackers did not hesitate to tie up and attack the two people who happened to be there at the time. Such was the force used they managed to fracture the knee of one of the victims, who continues to require medical treatment now.
After incessant investigations, Guardia Civil from Almoradí and Guardamar tracked down the suspects and searched their homes. They found Taser electric weapons that had been used in the robberies and a plantation of marijuana that would have fetched up to €15,000 when fully grown.
Two of the suspects have been sent to prison until the trial and the third was released until then on the condition he signs regularly in at the court and does not leave the country.
