Although there is still no exact date on the table, Rojales Town Hall has informed the Parents' Association (AMPA) of the Principe de España Primary School – now called Poeta Miguel Hernández – that the work to construct the new centre will start at the end of the present 2015-2016 school year, “when the little ones start their summer holidays”.
According to the AMPA, the construction will start in the area of the green buildings and wil not stop in August. The rest will continue during the next term with the pertinent safety measures in place.
The school was approved on April 7th 2015, after more than a decade of demands, demonstrations and protests from the educational community and the people of Rojales in general. The construction, according to details in the official document, will consist of a total of 18 Primary classes and a canteen for 300 schoolchildren in two turns.
