Two Million Euro Invested in Costa Blanca Beaches

The regional government has spent two million euro on improvements to the beaches of the Costa Blanca this summer. The investment has seen the installation of a 100 changing rooms, 48 playgrounds, 12 accessible bathing areas, six technological palms and 10 kilometres of fencing. The changing rooms have been installed across the region with 37 in the Valencia province, 31 in Castellon and 32 across Alicante. Promoting Animal Adoption in Torrevieja

The Department of Animal Protection from Torrevieja town hall has launched a summer campaign to raise awareness amongst children of the importance of adoption and sterilisation of domestic animals The councillor for Animal Protection, Carmen Morate, accompanied by Patricia Tarín Carrasco, volunteer of the municipal animal pound, have organised educational talks in the summer schools that are being held in the municipality. Traditional Fishing Tourism in Torrevieja

The town hall of Torrevieja has launched an initiative named Pescaturismo, which aims to offer tourists an insight into traditional fishing techniques that first saw the town become famous The initiative allows for tourists to take to the sea on a night fishing boat, hopefully to catch red mullet, one of the most characteristic fish caught at night off the Torrevieja coast.
