Firemen rescued two mountaineers in the Sierra de Redován on Saturday. The two men, aged 41 and 51 and from Madrid and Guadalajara, became disorientated on their way along the Botri 1 path, at 150 metres above sea level, and were unable to find their way back.
The Fire Brigade’s helicopter Alfa 1 came to the rescue of the men, who had brought all the correct equipment for climbing. The strong gusts of wind made it difficult for the pilot. After half an hour of searching at about 4:30pm the climbers were found and picked up. Neither of them were injured.
