Thousands of people, most of them not Spanish, joined in with the fiestas for the urbanisations of Ciudad Quesada in Rojales which finished on Sunday at the Plaza Blanca.
All sorts of activities were put on and they attracted the most people for the last few years., informed the Town Hall.
Among them were highlights including the inauguration with a giant paella of chicken, rabbit and snails, which was put on for free by the Town Hall and more than 700 people had some.
It was so popular that within a few minutes, just the time it took to serve it, the whole paella dish (paellero) was empty. Many of the children, young people and elderly who enjoyed this traditional local meal were trying it for the first time.
Another very busy activity was on Saturday when the Charanga fancy dress parade attracted more than 2,000 spectators.
Councillor Charo López said she was happy that all the different activities had been so busy. "They proved an added attraction to our municipality, and as well as encouraging tourism they made for a more enjoyable holiday for thousands of people who chose to spend their holiday here with us."
