The Department of Tourism from the Town Hall of Torrevieja together with the weather experts from Proyecto Mastral have organised an activity whereby visitors can observe the full moon, also known as ‘the first full moon of winter’ or the ‘Cold full moon’, through special observation telescopes that will be set up along the seafront.

This free activity will take place tonight in Torrevieja and visitors will be able to contemplate the stunning full moon and meteor shower through one of the telescopes, which will be located next to the ‘Hombre del Mar’ statue.

For all those who are interested, the organisers will also provide information and interesting facts about the moon, its surface, its craters, its phases and the distance from the Earth, so you can watch and learn at the same time.
