Ride an animatronics dinosaur, marvel at their height, be blown away by their ferocity, or just wonder of a time long ago, all of these experiences, and more, can be yours, every weekend, in Alicante
Situated on the first floor of the CC Puerta de Alicante shopping centre (no, we didn’t realise dinosaurs could climb stairs either… Or maybe they used the lift), you will find a stunning array of 50 dinosaurs, from the Triceratops to the Parasaurolophus, from the Protoceratops to the Pterosaurus (yes, we’re testing auto correct), and everything in between, pretty much.
You can walk amongst the dinosaurs through a virtual Jurassic world, every Saturday and Sunday, from 11:00 until 2:00 p.m., and again from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., as even dinosaurs need a lunch break and let’s face it, we don’t want them to be hungry. That could be disastrous. We’ve seen the films!
The general admission price is 5:90€, and tickets can be purchased from the box office at the centre, although children under 3 can enter for nothing, if they are accompanied. Although, given their small size, there is no guarantee they will exit the event as they are small enough for a dinosaur to eat in one mouthful, so don’t get too close (you know we’re joking, right? Nobody has ever been eaten at the exhibition, although Aunt Mable did claim that one of them had a good try with her (she makes a lot of things up)).
The event is on until January 6, having been extended beyond the Christmas period, so if these dinosaurs think they are going home for Christmas, they can think again. Santa will just have to find them here.
