With Christmas drawing nearer, we must all be thinking about heading out to buy presents for friends and family sooner or later. The sooner the better, we think, to avoid the traffic and mayhem.

And businesses have the same idea, which is why for the next few weeks all we’ll see is Christmas market after Christmas market and medieval market after medieval market on the events calendar.

Nevertheless, for original gifts that you won’t see in the shops, these types of markets are fantastic, and we always prefer to give our hard-earned cash to the creative artists that spend hours crafting their items with their own hands with a lot of love and effort in the process.

So, this weekend it’s the turn of the municipality of Almoradí to host a medieval market, where you will find the usual stalls with handcrafted gifts, street entertainment, music, food and drink and a lively atmosphere.

Don’t forget, either, that if you visit this market on Saturday morning, you can kill two birds with one stone and get your week’s fruit and veg as well at the weekly market which is held there every Saturday morning.
