Spending by Tourists Goes Up While Numbers Stay the Same

Close on 66.2 million inbound tourists visited Spain in the first nine months of the year, unchanged from the figure recorded in the same period in 2017, while the amount they spent rose by 2.5% to 71.77 billion euros, according to These figures have been taken from the Inbound Tourism Survey (FRONTUR) and Tourist Spending Survey (EGATUR) drawn up by the Spanish National Statistics Institute.
