The town of Benijófar will host the ninth edition of this gastronomic tapas route over this weekend.

This year, a total of 17 bars and restaurants will participate in the event, preparing tapas for all tastes with a mixture of traditional Spanish dishes, foreign specialities and a few surprises.

Thanks to the collaboration of the hospitality sector of the municipality, visitors will be able to sample more than 50 tapas over the three days of the event, which last year managed to attract more than three thousand people.

The objective holding this event is to promote local tourism and activities that encourage, not only those from the town itself, but visitors who come from further afield.

Visitors will be able to pick up a map and passport booklet featuring the participating establishments, where they must get stamped after visiting each one until their booklet has been filled up.

At the end, visitors can vote on their favourite tapa and the establishment that receives the most votes will receive a commemorative plaque.

Alternatively, customers that complete their booklet with the full stamps will be entered in to a cash prize draw where they can win 100€, while those with five stamps or more will enter the draw to win a meal for two.
