Before you get excited about sharks going shopping, it´s an exhibition as part of the shopping centre´s anniversary celebrations, where you can also win great prizes

Scientists from the Paleontological Museum of Elche (Mupe), have erected a display which reconstructs the mouth of the largest shark in history, Carcharocles megalodon, which would have swam the Mediterranean millions of years ago.

The teeth, more than 10 centimetres in length, are of triangular form, very robust and have a serrated edge, from which calculations reveal that the specimen attached to the mouth on display would have been around 11 metres long.

Now, thanks to collaboration with the L’Aljub Shopping Centre in Elche, you can get up close and personal with the gnashers of this deadly beast and learn more about its habits and lifestyle at the centre.

Meanwhile, the L’Aljub Mall celebrates its 15th anniversary this year and launched a special promotion, including prizes worth a total of 12,000 euro, distributed over twelve months, with a grand up for grabs every month for a whole year, albeit in vouchers to spend at the centre.

The raffles started during July and to participate you just have to enter the Facebook page of L’Aljub, with the first of the prizes being handed out on Saturday August 25, 2018, including a VIP experience which consists of the winner being picked up by car at home, a Personal Shopper, accompaniment of two personal assistants, and a photo and video session, a unique experience that will be repeated every month, until July 2019.

The little ones are not left out either. Anyone born in the year 2003, the same year that L’Aljub opened, can pick up a special anniversary cup at the Information Point, where they will also be in with a chance to win one of 15 vouchers worth 150 euro. This promotion will take place until October 13, or until the stocks run out, so hurry if you want to collect your cup.

This year, the L’Aljub Shopping Centre will also be a sponsor of the infamous night of fireworks in Elche, the Nit de l’Albà, where 1,000 backpacks will be handed out to the lucky attendees who manage to get one.
