Services could be open by the end of this month, claims Town Hall

Orihuela Town Hall has announced that the Central Administrative Court for Contract Appeals has turned down the two appeals that have been holding up the process to adjudicate the new beach bars and services contract.

The councillors in charge of beaches, Luisa Boné, and contracts, Sáez said this was a positive decision by the court and means that the conditions and the whole procedure comply with the law.

“The resolutions show that the work done by the Town Hall is correct and does not contains the irregularities that the appellants had claimed,” said Sáez, who announced that two ordinary appeals by the same people can now be turned down by the local government based on the judicial reports.

Boné revealed that they could probably start the final stage of the evaluation process (the bidders’ financial offers) next week and propose who the contract should be adjudicated to. This would mean that the services could be decided and open before the end of this month.

“We hope to have all the services as soon as possible,” said Boné “now that the doubts about the legality have been dissipated”.
