This Saturday, you can help clean the seas at a special awareness day held in Santa Pola
As part of a United Nations Environment campaign, which is spreading through social media tanks to the hashtags #MaresLimpios and #CleanSeas, Santa Pola will be joining in with an awareness day this Saturday.
The meeting place will be at Playa del Tamarit (near the Salt Wharf), for the activity that will take place from 09:30 in the morning until 12:30.
The UN campaign hopes to transform habits, practices, standards and policies around the world to dramatically reduce marine litter and the damage it causes.
As part of the campaign, in a collaboration between the Natural Park of Salinas de Santa Pola, the Department of Beaches of Santa Pola and Cruz Roja, the day of awareness and collection of plastics from the sea will take place on Saturday, July 7.
