Ambulance workers go on strike across the Valencian Community

Minimum services will be in operation for an indefinite period Ambulance service workers have said enough and started an indefinite strike today across the whole Valencian Community, therefore including the Vega Baja area of the Costa Blanca. They are demanding a fair agreement which they have been waiting for since 2013, they confirmed. Five kilos of cannabis found in car stopped at airport

National Police arrest two occupants with over 5 kilos in the boot Two Bulgarian men aged 33 and 44 have been arrested by National Police at Alicante-Elche airport and accused of drug trafficking. The officers were checking people and vehicles at the arrivals terminal  on June 28 as procedure given the ongoing Level 4 Antiterrorist Alert. The attitude of the two occupants of one vehicle made them suspicious so they stopped it and found that the driver did not have a licence that is valid in Spain. Catral holds its firework chase

The most daring ran just ahead of the fireworks as they went off Catral continues to celebrate its patron saint fiestas. Saturday was the turn of the traditional concert by the Music Band SUM ‘La Constancia’ in honour of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. After this there was the parade of the flag and the traditional traca firework chase, which a multitude of residents joined in with.
