Magical setting for this concert in La Mata

The Department for the Environment from the town hall of Torrevieja has organised a classical music concert that will take place on Saturday evening at the fantastic location of the La Pinada recreational area within the Lagunas de Torrevieja-La Mata Natural Park.

A quartet, composing of two violinists, a viola player and a cellist, from the Torrevieja Symphonic Orchestra (OST), invite the public to spend “a magical evening listening to classical music in a natural and unique open space” with them.

The concert will be divided into two halves: the first will feature classical music with well-known pieces by composers such as Bach, Handel and Mozart, while in the second half, you can expect to hear more modern classics including Yesterday by The Beatles, La Vie en Rose and Memories of Africa.

Councillor for the Environment, Fanny Serrano, has warned that there are seating restrictions due to the performance taking place in a protected area. There will only be 100 chairs set out, however, as the concert is located in the picnic area, there are other places to sit, or you can even bring your own towel or blanket!

Anyone wishing to attend this event should park in the car parking area of the La Mata cemetery and walk to the concert area from there.

It is also recommended to spray yourself with mosquito repellent before leaving home.
