Movies, debate, art and concerts for Gay Pride Day
Torrevieja is celebrating Gay Pride Day with a variety of activities that are all free and can be attended with an invitation that can be picked up on request from either the Centro Cultural Virgen del Carmen (Monday-Friday 9am-10pm) or the Tourism Office (Monday-Friday office hours).
Wednesday June 20th
8pm – Movie “Mustang”, nominated for best foreign film Oscar in 2016. At Centro Cultural Virgen del Carmen.
Thursday June 21st
8pm – Movie “A Single Man”, followed by debate about homosexuality, maturity and suicide (in Spanish), chaired by Federico Armenteros, president of the Fundación 26 de diciembre.
Friday June 22nd
10pm – Gala show presented by Supremme Deluxe with MC Mateo Frango and performances by Rebeca, Lara Sajin, Hermanas Farala, Wendy Superstars and High Heels DJs to finish. At the Eras de la Sal.
Saturday June 23rd
10am – Public mural painting project to create a collage of fictional characters as a way of understanding different identities through the expression of each participant. At the wall by the Sala de Exposiciones Vistalegre.
10pm – Gay Pride Day manifesto, read by Mario Vaquerizo. Followed by concery by Nancys Rubias. At the Eras de la Sal.
