Weather station to be installed in Pinar de Campoverde

Pilar de la Horadada Town Hall has approved a contract to supply two new lifeguard huts for Playas de las Higuericas and Mil Palmeras for a total of €37,510.

Another agreement reached was to contract four chemical toilets which are adapted for people with disabilities to be installed on Playas El Puerto, Jesuítas, Rocamar and Vistamar at a cost of €7,947.

The council has also formalised an agreement to collaborate with the Valencian Meteorology Association AVAMET to publish data from a meteorological station and a webcam.

This is due to the Town Hall’s need to make reports about inclement weatherm rain and wind, at the request of residents.

Currently the Town Hall has a meteorological station on the roof and with this new agreement another one will be installed on the Municipal Office in Pinar de Campoverde to offer more precise data.

In terms of social aid, the amount of €2,735 has been awarded between 12 families, of which €2,435 is to prevent them having their electricity cut off and to be able to pay their rent. Of the rest, €300 is for the basic necessities of one family, as well as the approval of seven hours per week of home help with personal hygiene for two residents, and the exemption of another family from municipal fees for water and rubbish collection.
