Guide to the best cookery in the county
The second edition of the Guía Gastronómica de la Vega Baja (gastronomy guide) was presented in Guardamar’s Reina Sofia park on Monday with Mayor José Luis Sáez.
It contains a selection of the best restaurants, illustrated with quality photos and information to reflect the mastery of local restaurateurs, the excellent local farm produce, and above all to help visitors find the best cookery.
This edition features new restaurants and contributions from Town Halls, the Alicante Association of Chefs and Pastry Chefs (ACYRA), and a prologue by María José San Román, chef of the Restaurante Monastrell with one Michelin star.
The 2018 Gastronomy guide prizes were also awarded to the restaurants which received the most votes from followers on its social networks. The winners were Alejandro García, owner of Restaurante Chema en Guardamar del Segura and Moisés Martínez, manager and chef of Restaurante el Buey in Almoradí.
