Orihuela police congratulated for saving woman

Teenage victim was being threatened with a knife by her adult boyfriend Orihuela Town Hall has approved a proposal to publicly congratulate four Local Police officers for their actions in the recent arrest of a man for a gender violence offence against a teenage girl. Officers Oliverio Riquelme Moreno, Rubén Espadiña Fernández, Cristian Morales Sánchez and Juan Ramón Rama intervened on March 24th when the man was threatening the underage girl with a large knife. Guardia Civil operation swamps Torrevieja Municipal Animal Shelter

Foster homes needed for dogs, horses, ferret and a pirahna An operation by the Guardia Civil in Torrevieja has forced the Municipal Animal Shelter to issue a public appeal for people to adopt some of the animals in its care. The Guardia Civil arrested 30 members of a supposed criminal gang and seized 26 animals, including six dogs owned by the suspects that were roaming near a finca in El Limonar. Mother of boy who died on Orihuela Costa beach calls for local Emegencies Centre

She presented a petition to the Town Hall signed by 2,200 residents Residents and associations of Orihuela Costa presented the Town Hall with a petition of over 2,200 signatures calling for the Emergencies Centre for the coast to be completed. In charge of handing it over was the mother of Kai, the eight-year-old boy who died on April the 5th at Cala Bosque beach after a collision with another boy while they were playing.
