Market and entertainment in La Mata will raise funds to neuter local colony

A charity event to raise funds to neuter a colony of cats in Torrelamata will be on Sunday May 13th, announced Councillor Carmen Morate and Inma Azpiazu, the president of the Plataforma Independiente Matera (PIM).

Morate, who gave the idea to the association, referred to this activity as “something very special” since “the solution to ending the overpopulation of colonies of cats is not to do away with them but to castrate them”.

In this sense, the president of PIM said “we want to control the colony of cats that is causing bother to the residents of La Mata and so we invite everyone to come on the morning of May 13th to the Plaza Encarnación Puchol as the money collected at the market by the CES Project and Animalistas Association and at the charity bar will be used for this purpose”.

There are numerous businesses collaborating with the event, which has the following programme:

10.30am – Master Class in Body Combat by Isabel Paredes

11:30am – Performance by the QK Academy

12:00pm – Line Dance show by ‘Sabor y Baile’ of La Mata

12.30pm – Concert by Filiu&Cía.
