Guardamar fills in huge hole on beach

Sand from old dune used to cover area damaged by storms Guardamar del Segura Town Hall is using over 3,000 cubic metres of sand to regenerate the beaches. Councillor Ana Martínez said they have started at two places on Avenida Ingeniero Codorniu by Babilonia beach. The sand is from an old dune by Roqueta beach. Child’s hand trapped in toy dispenser machine

Torrevieja firemen freed the boy in La Mata Firemen from Torrevieja came to the rescue of desperate parents after their child’s hand got stuck in a machine that dispenses toys in plastic balls. It happened at 1.48pm on Sunday in the Plaza de Encarnación Bujol in La Mata. The boy put in a coin and tried to get his gift out but got three of his fingers trapped in the chute.
