Plenty of opportunities for training, fun and culture for 14 to 35 year olds

Torrevieja Councillor Víctor Ferrández has informed that the new programme for spring at the Youth Information Centre (CIAJ) is now available and includes the months of April to June.

He said there are 22 activities including training, recreation and culture for young people (aged 14 to 35).

Ferrández mentioned new activities like a Gymkhana (multi-activity challenge) in the Natural Park on May 20th, a cultural trip to the Granada fair on the weekend of June 1st-3rd, and Role playing games at the CMO centre on May 26th and 27th among others.

The training courses are part of the National Youth Guarantee System and include hospitality and tourism at the CDT; a talk from the Torrevieja SERVEF employment and training office on April 26th; the Chamber of Commerce qualification and employment programme (PICE); a first aid course; a Youtube training course; and courses in languages, cleaning swimming pools, home electrical maintenance and effective internet searches.

Ferrández said that bands and solo musicians will get another chance to perform at the second edition of the Eras Music Fest and the application period will be open the whole month of June.

The fun is completed with the Rock Against Cancer music festival, for which the CIAJ is providing monitors and activities for children, and a FIFA football video game tournament to coincide with the World Cup, among others.
