Deadline to vote for projects extended to February 27th

Orihuela Town Hall has extended the deadline for residents to vote for which projects they would like to see carried out with funding from the 2018 budget.

Due to the popularity shown so far for voting in the municipality’s first Presupuestos Participativos (Participative Budgets), votes will now be accepted until 11:59pm on Tuesday, February 27th.

Residents therefore have two additional days to choose 3 of the 95 proposals which have been evaluated by municipal technicians and found to be affordable and within the Town Hall’s powers.

A total of €120,000 has been allocated for projects in Orihuela Costa.

Voting can be carried out on the website which will only allow resident who are registered on the padrón as living in the municipality to take part.

It is also possible to vote in the various municipal offices, such as Playa Flamenca Town Hall or the Participación Ciudadana office on Casa Casinello in Orihuela city.
