Town Hall to pay third of the price

A new campaign to sterilise cats is being subsidised by Pilar de la Horadada Town Hall.

It is available to residents from March 15th to May 15th at the veterinary clinics Pelo, Pico y Pata, Veterinaria del Sureste, Moby Dick and Clínica Veterinaria El Pilar.

Councillor José Francisco Albaladejo said that in 2017 20 female cats and 12 male cats were sterilised, which helps to control colonies of stray cats and avoid people abandoning unwanted cats.

The Town Hall will pay a third of the price, meaning it will cost €40 to sterilise a female cat and €20 for a male.

To receive the subsidy it is necessary to prove that you are registered on the Town Hall census (padrón).
