Second round ordered of Entre Naranjos Tapas Route

Bar Alegría, Micky’s Inn and Mesón Nostrum won prizes in first edition last month   The success of the first edition of the Entre Narajos Tapas Toute, which was held on October 31, was such that a second edition has already been agreed for next year, informed Councillor Sofía Álvarez. Don’t go shopping this Sunday

This Sunday, February 25th will be the first when commercial centres in Orihuela, Torrevieja and Pilar de la Horadada have to close after changes to the Commerce Law of the Valencian Community were approved last week. It means the Zenia Boulevard (Orihuela Costa) and Habaneras (Torrevieja) centres will only be allowed to open food and recreational outlets, after years of having been able to open every day. Sunday opening slashed

Commercial centres in Orihuela and Torrevieja limited  to 40 Sundays and fiesta days per year The Valencian Parliament approved on Wednesday a modification to the Commerce Law which limits opening on Sundays and fiesta days in Tourist Influx Zones (ZGAT) to 40 per year. In he Vega Baja this directly affects Orihuela Costa, Torrevieja and Pilar de la Horadada, which until now could open every Sunday of the year. Free tour on March 11th will show endangered plants and prehistoric fossils   A new edition of the “Orihuela en Ruta” guided tours organised by the Town Hall will be taking in the municipality’s beaches on Sunday, Match 11th.
