Torrevieja Town Hall has just announced the 2016 Gymkhanica 2016 team games, which is a fun event that is part of the local fiestas in which teams of four Torrevieja residents aged between 14 and 35 have to compete in a series of challenges on December 3rd.
Councillor Victor Fernández explained that after the success of last year, which was the first time it was held, this time the challenges will be based on Torrevieja’s culture, history and traditions. But the precise nature of these events will not be revealed until the day itself and they will take place around the town centre. The participants will be given a map and personalised t-shirts to identify each team.
You can register at the Youth Information Centre (CIAJ) during office hours Monday to Friday until November 23rd. Teams have to turn up at the CIAJ on Saturday, November 3rd at 9am. Each team must have at least one smartphone with a camera, internet access and video.
There will be four prizes for the winners: for first place there are tickets to the Warner Brothers Park and Hotel in Madrid; for second there is a multi-adventure package; third is sporting equipment; and fourth is a study course grant at the Konigin Institute. The winners will be the team that completes all the tasks in the least time possible.
