Callosa de Segura town centre will go back to Medieval times this weekend from Friday, November 11th to Sunday the 13th. Artisans, shows and street entertainers will be there.
The town is also celebrating the anniversary of when its first independent Town Hall was set up, on November 4th 1579, as well as being granted the status of ‘ciudad’ (town/city) by King Alfonso XIII and the declaration of the Archpriestal Church of San Martín as a National Monument.
The medieval market will be inaugurated on Friday at 7pm and the main show of the weekend will be on Saturday at 8:15pm, when there will be a performance reenacting the keys to the town being handed over during the reconquest of King Jaime I.
Extra parking is being made available for residents and visitors in the playground of the Colegio Primo de Rivera primary school.
