All three Town Halls have applied for €290,000 for projects to create jobs

The Town Halls of Torrevieja, Pilar de la Horadada and Guardamar del Segura signed a territorial employment pact on Monday, along with unions and business owners’ associations.

They gathered at Guardamar Town Hall to formalise this collaboration between municipalities along the coast, so that they can coordinate their efforts to create jobs and ask the Valencian Employment and Training Service (SERVEF) to include them in its programme encouraging these territorial pacts between municipalities.

The agreement states that Guardamar Town Hall will manage the programme. The subsidy they have applied for from SERVEF amounts to €290,000: €50,000 for Territorial Diagniosis and €240,000 for experimental projects.

Guardamar mayor José Luis Sáez said this common project to solve the big social problem of unemployment is a historic moment.

Pilar mayor Ignacio Ramos said they had worked together and are happy that it will generate employment for residents.

Torrevieja mayor José Manuel Dolón added that they are all firmly committed.
