A Photography Congress has been organised in Pilar de la Horadada for November 3rd-5th, including talks, workshops, exhibitions and a competition.
The competition has categories for individual photos and collections, with a prize of €400 for the best collection and of €300, €200 and €100 for the best three individual photos. The jury will include Councillor Trinidad Escarajabal and respected professionals in the field of photography. Their decision will be announced on November 5th at 10:30am in the Casa de Cultura. Pictures selected b y the jury will be used for an exhibition in the building and the Town Hall will retain ownership of the prize winning ones.
Entrants must be over 16 and live in Spain, and entries must be mounted in a passe-partout (not made of polyurethane or thin card) measuring 30x40cm, regardless of the size of the picture.

8:30pm – Event presentation and inauguration of exhibitions.
Friday, November 4th
9:30am – Conference ‘Capturing emotions that get the heart racing’ (in Spanish) by the photographer Mónica Riveiro. Free registration.
11am-1pm – Workshops ‘Witnesses without prominence’ by the photographers Horacio Villalobos, Mónica Riveiro and Jorge Puente. Registration €15. Followed by Urban Photography Outing for participants.
4:30pm-6pm – Viewing of pictures from the Urban Photography Outing. Free entry.
6:30pm – Conference ‘The duty of memory’ (in Spanish) by Horacio Villalobos. Free registration.
Saturday, November 5th
10:30am – Competition winners announced.
12pm – Master class ‘Some ideas for commercial photography’ (in Spanish) by Jorge Puente. Registration €15.
