Volunteers practice at Torrevieja Fire Station

The course to train Civil Protection volunteers in Torrevieja concentrated last weekend, October 22nd and 23rd on its effects on people and property, how to behave in case of one and search and rescue techniques. The students had to complete theory and practical exercises, which included using different techniques to put out fires.
The practicals were held at Torrevieja Fire Station under the supervision of the course teacher, José Francisco Cerdá García, Jwho is the chief of the Alicante Provincial Fire Service.
Torrevieja Mayor José Manuel Dolón and Councillor Javier Manzanares praised the volunteers altruistic work dedicating their time to help however they are asked and how muchg experience they have gained.
The course finishes this weekend with First Aid, and Emergency Management and Policing.
