Urban culture festival in Almoradí

Skateboarding, BMX, rap battles, graffiti and break dancing this weekend Almoradí is putting on the sixth edition of its Urban Festival this Saturday, October 15th in the Plaza Béjar, which is the best event of its kind in the Vega Baja. From 5pm visitors can enjoy the qualifying rounds in disciplines like Skateboarding, BMX, rap battles and break dancing, for which there are more than €800 in prize money at stake for the first three in each event. Get a taste of Catral

20 bars offering a beer and a tapa for €2 this weekend This weekend (October 15th-16th) is Catral’s big celebration of its cuisine, as the municipality holds its fifth Tapas Route, for which this time there will be 18 establishments taking part. Each one is offering a beer and a tapa for just €2 from 11am-4pm on Saturday and Sunday. There are special ‘Tapaporte’ flyers available with a map of all the venues available in the town, which can also be downloaded from the Town Hall website at This also shows what tapas they are offering, which range from vegetable lasagne, meatballs and spare ribs to oxtail cannelloni, an Indian mixed platter and Mexican mini burritos, as well as many more mysterious but delicious concoctions. By getting your flyer stamped in at least 9 venues you can enter a prize draw to win a smartphone, a spa session, or one of 30 meals for two, and you can vote for which was the best tapa of the weekend. Most of the bars are around the town centre, making for a satisfying “pub crawl” on which the food should at least soak plenty of the alcohol!
