All sorts of bargains including cars and entertainment in the Plaza de Constitución this weekend

After hosting the Vega Baja Tourism Fair last weekend, now the Plaza de la Constitución in Almoradí will be the setting for the municipality’s Commerce, Clearance and Automobile Fair from Friday, September 30th to Sunday, October 2nd.

This year’s edition will feature 28 shops like clothes, opticians, shoes, electrical appliances, food, make up, jewellery, gifts and travel agents, as well as six car local dealerships. The Restaurante Infantes will also be offering a large variety of tapas.

As well as the variety of shopping on offer, visitors will also be able to enjoy performances of flamenco dancing by the Dance Factory Academy (Saturday 1pm), flamenco and contemporary by Tacón y Punto (Sunday 7pm), music with pop, rock and disco from the band Dibeiser (Saturday 9pm) and magic with Lumaky (Sunday 1pm).

“Our idea is to make a shopping party,” indicated the shopkeepers’ association president Juan Gómiz, who considered that “quality and good prices are what distinguish us from other fairs”. He highlighted the good health of the fair by assuring the participating shopkeepers are “very happy with it and they all want to participate next year, in fact the plaza is getting too small”.

Councillor Adela Caracena emphasised the positive impact it is having on commerce in Almoradí, assuring that “since summer 2015 the Town Hall has received 42 applications for licences to open new businesses”.
