Free show and tours of the city for Tourism Day on Tuesday

World Tourism Day is on Tuesday September 27th and Councillor Sofia Álvarez wants Orihuela residents to be tourists in their home town for the day.

There will be two free dramatised guided tours, with actors playing iconic historical characters (in Spanish), taking participants around the old quarter of the city. The first will be at 7pm and the second at 9pm.

Álvarez said it is one of the most popular activities with residents and tourists because it is a fun way of learning about the city’s history. To book a place visit the Tourism Office or telephone 96 530 4645.

Also on Tuesday, there will be a free flamenco performance at the Alameda del Mar Civic Centre in Orihuela Costa from 7pm, she added.
