Event on Saturday will give milk to the needy

The registration fees for the first “Ciudad de Torrevieja” Darts Tournament will serve to donate a pallet of milk to the charity Extiende la Mano (Reach Out), which works with needy people. This competition, which is being held this Saturday, September 24th at the Terraza Bar ‘Nueva Torrevieja’, located on Calle Bella Antonia 85, has more than sixty players registered, including Jesús Noguera and ‘Justi’, both world champions.

Councillor África Celdrán, who is collaborating on the tournament with the Casa de Andalucía ‘Rafael Alberti’, said the possibility is being studied of bringing darts competitions at other levels and to keep collaborating by giving part of the registration fees to charities.

The manager of the bar, Jacinto Ares Rodríguez and José Carlos Torregrosa Murcia of Conection Darts Alicante informed that the competition wil start at 4.30pm, with throwing from 5pm. The system will be “Combo”, 501 Master / Cricket / 501 Master. To the best of 5 for winners. To the best of 3 from behind.

Registration is available in the Bar Nueva Torrevieja for €10, making the price of a game 50c. For the men the prizes are 1st – €500 + trophy / 2nd – €200 + trophy / 3rd – €100 + trophy / 4th – €50 / from 5th to 8th – €30. Meanwhile for the women the prizes are: 1st – 50% of the Registration + trophy / 2nd – 30% of the Registration + trophy and 3rd – 20% of the Registration + trophy.
