According to data from the hotels in Guardamar, which total about 2,000 beds, they were 2% busier in April 2015 compared to 2014. This confirms a rising trend of 6% for the month of April since 2012, when it was 50%. Camping Marjal informed they were 73% occupied in April.
The hotels over the two principal nights of the 1st of May bank holiday (Friday and Saturday) were at 91%, exceeding this figure in some family hotels in the town centre and beaches of Guardamar, which reached 96%. Camping Marjal informed they were 77% occupied this weekend in Guardamar.
The data from Guardamar exceeds the predictions for the Costa Blanca in both cases. In Guardamar, the average rate of occupation in the summer of 2014 (July 1st-September 30th) was 82%, reaching 90% in the month of August.
