The car industry in Almoradí has continued to improve year on year and proof of this is the 30% increase in vehicle sales over the last year, especially of new cars.
This was announced by the President of the local Automobile Association, José María Espinosa at the presentation of the 15th edition of the Second Hand Automobile Fair, which is taking place this weekend over November 7th, 8th and 9th in the Plaza Almoradí Ciudad de Servicios.
Espinosa said the increased sales are largely due to the PIVE government aid programme to encourage people to trade in old vehicles.
At this weekend’s show, which will cover an area of 9,000 square metres, there will also be new models that have just come on the market.
This is the second edition of 2014 and there will be more than 500 vehicles on sale from seven different exhibitors, including zero mileage, semi-new and used cars, all with guarantees and financing available. All the cars will be on show from 10am until 9pm and the inauguration will be at midday on Friday.
Town councillor Miguel Gascón said this will be an opportunity to obtain a “quality car with financing and a guarantee ‘on site’” from a fair that many people from around the province “trust”. He expected there will be about 5,000 visitors, based on previous editions and said there will be complementary activities during the weekend, including the new Heritage Tour on Saturday and Country Bicycle Tour on Sunday.
