Activities include water skiing, wake-boarding and wake-skating The Mayor of Torrevieja, Eduardo Dolón paid a visit to the exciting new “La Bocana” cable ski facilities today, accompanied by the centre director, Sergio Martínez. The new water sports activity centre is situated at the east dock, beside the sports arena at the Marina Salinas. The Mayor emphasised that the facility is one of the most modern and sophisticated in the country, offering a wide range of innovative sporting activities that are difficult to find in other coastal areas. The construction of the cable ski has been possible with thanks to collaboration between the town hall and a group of businesspeople linked to the nautical industry. La Bocana relies on the expertise of fully trained, experienced instructors, who can offer beginner’s and advanced lessons in such activities as water skiing, wake-boarding, and wake-skating. All the equipment required to enjoy these sports is available to hire from the centre. The cable ski zone covers an area 6,000 metres across, with 170 metres of cable, and will remain open to the public 365 days per year. It will operate on a timetable of 10am to 9pm during high season, whilst bookings must be made by appointment only at all other times....Read More
