Over Friday and Saturday (May 16th-17th), Almoradí will become the hub of the Vega Baja for videogame aficionados for the fourth edition of this annual fiesta.
It starts on Friday, from 4pm-11pm, in the Pabellón Venancio Costa, which will be open to the public to come along and play different games.
The Saturday is dedicated to more expert players and will run from 4pm right through the night until 8am on Sunday. Participants on this day have to bring their own TV or monitor, console (PS·, PS3, Xbox 360, Xbox One or Wii) and games with them to be able to compete against and share their enjoyment with other like minded fans. It is free to join in.
The event was presented by Councillor for Youth Alfonso García and an expert in organising this type of event, Mariano Vicente García, known as Marvi.
New activities for this year include a talk about using social networks and another by a game designer, who will offer information about the creative process and places where training is available.
Marvi noted that this edition will have a connection speed of 80 megas and that players are coming not only from all over Alicante province, but places including Madrid, Albacete, Murcia, Valencia and Benidorm.
Anyone interested in taking part in the event on Saturday has to register on the website www.logrodesbloqueado.es. They must be aged over 16, otherwise they have to download and print out the form and hand it in when they arrive at the Pabellón.
