This Sunday a similar event will be in San Miguel de Salinas
Ingenuity and speed are combined for the ‘autos locos’ (wacky races), for which competitors have to design and build their own ‘soap box’ vehicles with no motors to career downhill through the streets. Last weekend, the village of Redován held its own version of the events as part of its fiestas to honour their patron saint, San Miguel. Hundreds of residents lined the streets to cheer on their favourites, from table football to Formula 1 racing cars, with prizes awarded for the most original and fastest designs.
This Sunday at 5:30pm, San Miguel de Salinas will be holding its own version of the event as part of its fiestas in honour of the Virgen del Rosario.
