The municipality hosts the Medieval Market this month for the anniversary of its independence
To mark the 22nd anniversary of the segregation of Los Montesinos from Almoradí, which is celebrated each year from July 26th-30th, one of the most popular activities returns to the area to turn it into the medieval town of the Vega Baja.
From Friday the 26th until Sunday the 28th, a large Medieval Market will spread across the centre of the village from 6pm. This market will have special entertainment such as musicians and bally dancers, actors, shows, games for children, contests for older people, donkeys, a merry go round, face painting and more to liven up the evening.
Councillor for festivities Joaquín García emphasised the excitement that this market will “boost the economic sector of the municipality” as it is hoped it will be busy during these three days. He hoped this market will prove a “big tourist attraction”, over these days which are important to commemorate local history.
With events like this and an ample offer of leisure and tourism, the Town Hall aims to promote the municipality, as its location not too far from the beach and great natural surroundings pose an significant attraction to the foreign population and new residents.
